First installment of the story to be "RoMens"
Good-bye
Water: slippery when wet.
(So the italics are just little notes, just little jokes another one I would like is Leather: Product of a cow. Of course these are just after the bolded title headings, and mostly parenthesizes are notes to myself and an explanation of things not yet connected.)(Don't worry the story will begin soon).
I feel that this story is going well and that one of the most important and life changing events is going to happen.

"All right. Enough of this silly business," August said. He reached his hand up to rub the left side of his mouth, small cheese flakes fell from his finger tips from the nearby bag of chips drenched in cheese. His eyes focused on the bright screen. On the split screen August's avatar switched weapons to shoot surrounding enemies. "Ha," he breathed with satisfaction.
"Can you cover me?" Said Marcus as he controlled his avatar and hide behind a wall. His avatar loaded a new clip to his gun.
"Yeah I can. I've got a few smoke grenades," said August. His avatar pulled out his smoke grenades. "Are you going after the captives first?"
"Well to get them yeah." The sound of gunfire emanated from the speakers as the screen flickered.
"Gotcha then." August blinked quickly to help him focus on the screen. They had been gaming through these missions for a few hours he thought. Once he felt ready he began to count to make the moment more dramatic. "Three, Two, One!" August's avatar unpinned the smoke grenade and chucked it forward over the barrier where the hostages were being kept.
"Ha, this is like shooting fish in a barrel," Marcus said as he switched to infrared goggles and went to press the trigger button as he aimed at the captors. There was a distinctive bang that came as the first captor was downed by a shot in the head and the others joined the same fate as August also aided in freeing the captives by shooting at the captors.
"Ok. Good job, now we only have a few minutes to get back to the base." The two avatars on the split screen ran side by side as an eerie music swelled the room inducing a sense of panic. Marcus pressed a little harder on his joystick to give the sense that he was running faster. August switched to an automatic as they were being fired at. From nearby another sound played a joyful tune.
"Wait!" The command was uttered. August looked over at Marcus with a raised eyebrow. "No, really pause the game. I hear something."
"Ok, I'll 'really' pause the game," August said sarcastically. However, after the echoes of the game vanished, the location of the foreign sound was evident. Right under August's seat. The beeping noise made August freeze as Marcus raised an eyebrow. "My alarm!"
Marcus nodded in recognition of the sound as August jumped up and shot his hand down the cushion to grab his phone. He pulled it out and turned it over in his hand to see the time.
"Ten past," August thought aloud and with that he leapt over the couch to grab his backpack with his tablet stored inside. "I'm out of here. Off to school." August checked his pockets for the keys to the apartment. Satisfied, he snagged a browning banana from the table and pulled out his headphones from his backpack and let the music blare in his ears. 'Last time I play all night,' August thought to himself. He knew it was mostly a lie.
With the necessities in hand and pocket he let the door shut behind him. As the door closed Marcus's head perked. His eyes appeared lost in thought as the flickering screen reflected in them. "School. Fire," he said and then his eyes widened, "It won't be there!" The door clicked closed.

"Current news," the telecaster said. She sat at a table with a man who couldn't stop sipping his cup of joe and looking at her as she smoothly pronounced the words of the worlds current circumstances. August looked up at the small TV as he travelled in the sky train. He had studied about the earlier models of sky trains which were referred to then as subways and they were below ground. Now the system was above ground, standing tall and propulsion with magnets.
August checked his surroundings. He preferred to stand as the sky train rocketed forward to his school. There had been some robberies recently on other trains. He knew it was a risk, but it was better than walking the streets. The graffiti was the only thing that wouldn't kill you. So after a somewhat reassurance of safety August pulled out his phone and played a game on it until the sky bus made a stop. He stepped out in front of a large university. And then there was a boom.
The air seemed to cut at August, and the force of an explosion knocked him down along with many others. He heard people cry out and things smack nearby by. He tried to cover himself by hunching up on the ground. A thick layer of ash and dust covered him. He could only try and think of what just happened and if the children he had seen with their parents were okay. After a few seconds though the sounds weren't so piercing and his ears weren't ringing as bad. He felt dazed and he pressed a hand to his fast, with the lifting up dust he could see that he was bleeding. He registered he must have been hit with some shrapnel from whatever exploded. A bomb? But where? August stood up on wobbly legs. It felt like Marven, his fifth grad bully had punched him in the stomach again. August grabbed unto his backpack, it was still there, he would have to check the contents later though because he smelt fire and saw smoke.
It must have been a bomb, but where? As the dusty debris settled, August didn't want to believe what he saw. The place where the school had stood was now a pile of rubble. He saw that on the ground scattered throughout were chunks of concrete. One was close to where August had fallen. The remains of the building still burned a little bit. What pained him was hearing the cries of the injured people. He could see burnt figures in the rubble, and that brought him to the ground.
"Why!" He shouted. What would cause someone to do this.
